Position Naming and Strategy Tracking

Example Naming Conventions for Trades

To keep track of multiple trades in the same instrument or strategy, we recommend using a naming convention:

  1. Underlying Symbol: Start with the underlying symbol (e.g., XBI or IWM).

  2. Entry Date: Include the date you entered the trade (e.g., May 2).

  3. Type of Trade: Specify the trade type, such as Strangle or Iron Condor.

For example, if you opened a strangle on XBI on May 2, you can name the position XBI-May02-Strangle.
